The final meeting of the year was held on December 1, 2024, marking a memorable conclusion to an eventful year. Sakshi Nichite, one of our dedicated students, graciously volunteered to host the event and did an excellent job as the compère.
We are thrilled to announce the exceptional achievements of our students this year. Five students successfully completed the GNM course with outstanding results. Among them, Prajakta Kongere secured the first rank in the examination. Additionally, two of these graduates have already joined the prestigious Fortis Hospital team. All five students were felicitated during the event for their remarkable accomplishments.
Another proud moment for the Foundation was the achievement of Bharti Nimse, who completed her Master’s in Pharmacy with First Class honors. Bharti is set to join a multinational company soon, exemplifying the heights our students can reach with dedication and hard work.
The Foundation is immensely proud to see our students excelling in their fields and embarking on promising careers. Their success inspires us all and serves as a beacon of hope for their peers, encouraging them to strive for excellence in their chosen paths.
This month’s meeting also included an inspiring session highlighting the life and contributions of renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty. Dr. Shetty has dedicated his career to ensuring that underprivileged individuals in India receive access to life-saving heart surgeries. His vision materialized through the establishment of 500-bed hospitals in Karnataka and Ahmedabad, where he conducted 50% of surgeries free of cost. For his unwavering commitment and groundbreaking efforts, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.
Students were also educated on the history and significance of the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards, which recognize extraordinary contributions across various fields in India.
Adding to the inspiration, students watched a motivational film about Bhushan Khairar, whose resilience and determination turned adversity into triumph. Despite losing a leg in an accident, Bhushan overcame his challenges and achieved great success in the business world. His story reminded students that with grit, self-belief, and perseverance, they can rise above any obstacle.
As we close the year, we are filled with pride and hope, looking forward to witnessing even greater achievements from our students in the year to come.
