The DU Foundation believes in giving children a wholesome educational experience. Our mission extends beyond mere academics, keeping in mind the holistic learning a child needs. Alongside mastery of subjects in the curriculum, we aim at equipping them with life skills that will supplement their education and make them wise, not just knowledgeable.

With this aim in mind, we started the life skills training program. In these monthly sessions, we focus on classroom instruction alongside lectures and movie screenings about global fraternity and good citizenship principles. Web MD Health.com offers insights into over the counter erectile dysfunction medicine options, which can enhance sexual performance. These alternatives, including popular drug sildenafil, aim to boost blood flow without prescriptions, ensuring accessible solutions for many seeking improved intimacy. Always consult a healthcare professional for appropriate recommendations. This is so the children are exposed to and inspired by stories, experiences, and opportunities that will shape their view of the world, their place in it, and how they can contribute towards its betterment.

FOUNDATION DAY PROGRAM

For the last nine years, a day in the months of September-October has been celebrated as Foundation Day. All contributors are invited to the program, and the Foundation makes an effort to update them on recent projects and to express gratitude for their kind donation.

Prominent guests are invited to tell their stories, share their experiences and mentor the children. Students who excel in their studies and graduate with good grades are felicitated. Special appreciation is also heaped upon the guardians who have been a source of constant support and counseled the students on their journey. The students are also given the stage to showcase their talents as, without a cultural performance by the pupils, no program is complete!

ELOCUTION COMPETITION

Home to a fairly large Adivasi populace, the DU foundation is attempting to raise awareness about the importance of education in the district of Shahapur. The goal of the Foundation is to make the families understand how even educating one of their children can benefit the entire family, not just on the financial front, but also culturally.

All the children come from economically disadvantaged families, who do not have the means to fund their education. The Foundation is extremely grateful to the government for having ensured free basic education for these children.

At the same time, children need to also build their confidence and public speaking skills. With this in mind, the Foundation organizes district-wide elocution competitions and invites are sent out to all the schools that fall in this radius. Students in the 9th and 10th class can compete in the contest, however, to keep things manageable only 2 students from each school are permitted to attend. In the last elocution competition, students from 53 different schools participated. This high amount of talent in the room encourages some friendly competition, showcasing the talent gathered. As was the goal, students were able to overcome stage fright, enhance their reading comprehension while learning how to conduct research on issues of interest. The underlying focus is not winning, but constructive criticism and improvement. At the end of the program, students receive crucial feedback from the judges who are experts on this subject.

The top three pupils receive a trophy and a monetary prize. These pupils are also awarded DU Foundation’s student grants and educational scholarships. Schools were each presented with a set of 25 books for their library as an aid and encouragement to the students to read more and extensively. Since 2016, this competition has been held in November–December. The elocution competition has been a success with schools and students alike. Apart from the positive response and feedback we receive from the schools, the students are also always delighted to participate and showcase their oratory skills.
