May Updates: An Inspiring Turn to the Year

On Sunday, May 4th, our monthly student meeting brought together learners despite the exam period. The gathering was marked by enthusiasm and shared inspiration.

Students took centre stage by passionately sharing insights from their recent reads, creating an atmosphere of curiosity and intellectual exchange. The highlight of the session was a compelling presentation by Mr. Shailesh Paranjape on Stephen Covey’s transformative book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” Mr. Paranjape meticulously explored each of Covey’s powerful principles:

Be Proactive: Taking responsibility for one’s life and choices
Begin with the End in Mind: Developing a clear vision and purpose
Put First Things First: Prioritising and managing time effectively
Think Win-Win: Seeking mutually beneficial solutions
Seek to Understand, Then to Be Understood: Practising empathetic communication
Synergise: Collaborating and valuing diverse perspectives
Sharpen the Saw: Continuous personal renewal and improvement
The book has been made available in the library to encourage students to delve deeper into personal development.
A special moment of the meeting was a motivational talk by Farnaz Shaikh, a B.Sc. Nursing student who secured first place in her second semester. She candidly shared her journey, emphasising the power of dedicated hard work and persistent effort.
The meeting concluded with plans for the next gathering on June 1st – another opportunity for learning and growth.
