The last meeting of the academic year was held on the 7th of May. The student’s moods ranged from relaxed to anxious. Some have finished their exams and are ready to embrace the summer holidays and chill. Others still have exams approaching and are hard at work preparing for them.
The Foundation encouraged the students to review and discuss the books they had recently read. In addition, everyone also talked about why they would recommend reading these books. Mrs Veena Dewal came forward with a terrific book recommendation – Atomic Habits. Many students enjoyed learning about the nuggets of wisdom from the book.
Kicking off the month in a genuinely EPIC fashion, students were asked to narrate a story from the Ramayan and Mahabharata in future meetings. The students are unaware of these epics and in this way, they get to explore and find wisdom in the stories that they relate to.
Vaibhav Katre shared a story from Ramayan and Vaibhav Nikite narrated the story of Karn and his plight from Mahabharata.
Mr Vishal Sakale, a young entrepreneur from Shahapur was the guest speaker in this meeting. He inspired the students with his story and spoke about overcoming obstacles and having a positive mindset. One very important aspect of his speech was his focus on hard work. He told the students how there’s no alternative to perseverance and how he still works 12 hours despite having achieved so much.
Mr Pratik Sawant was also invited to explain the various short courses the students can pursue in the IT section. He spoke about the courses which can be pursued in vacation and also discussed how the students can improve job opportunities for themselves.
