Amidst the heavy rains and soothing smells, Foundation activities continued as usual. The monthly meeting was held on 2nd July and enthusiastic students participated in large numbers.
A number of students took the initiative to present something during the meeting and overcome their fear of public speaking.
Arun Chavar gave a motivating speech about Nobel prize winners which he had read and asked students to read the same..
Bhagyashree Somavate held a discussion about the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. Diving into a few nuggets, she explained how the teachings of the Gita are valid and applicable to our lives even today, after thousands of years. Her session concluded with a strong message to her fellow students – Keep working without any exceptions.
The message is something she keeps close to her heart herself. The daughter of a porter, Bhagyashree’s family struggled to make ends meet. In spite of all the hardships her family faced, her parents staunchly supported her education and encouraged her to continue pursuing her studies.
She threw herself in NEET preparations and scored 503 marks. Hearing her regale her story was an inspiration to many students. Her success brings pride to the Foundation.
We heartily applaud her determination and wish her all the best for admission into her dream college.
Students enrolled in the ITI have recently completed their course and sent their thanks to the Foundation and Shelavale sir for arranging residence and meals for them in Shahapur.
Under Mr Dewal’s guidance, Mr Pitale, other karyakartas and the headmistress of Andad School, Mrs Vishe, addressed the parents and children in and around Andad on the importance of education. These sessions would play a big role in curbing high school dropouts.
To encourage oration and public speaking among the students, special activities are being planned to cultivate a habit of reading and reduce stage fear.
