The new fiscal year signalled relief for the students and a mountain of admin work at the Foundation offices. A large number of karyakartas and teachers toiled away at paper corrections and examinations. This month’s meeting was held on 2nd April. The meeting was compered by Ruchita Tungar. The students present revisited the minutes of the last meeting and discussed their progress. Some of the older students provided their juniors guidance about the courses they had undertaken. This was an insightful segment as the students learned more about architecture and the various entrance exams and colleges. A student who is finishing his B.Sc. in Nursing also provided insight into the different opportunities available in this field.
Mrs Madhuri, a Foundation alumna, also attended the meeting. She guided students about her journey and the career path she had chosen. She educated them about the different laws and rights that women have in India. She has also extended her support to help the students and we’re glad to welcome her into the Foundation family anew. As an ex-student, her empathy will be unmatchable.
Attraction for this meeting was Ms Swapnali Padwal. She is currently pursuing MSW from Mumbai University. She provided a lot of insight into the course and the qualities one requires to pursue it. She also stressed the importance of English and communication skills.
It was a very successful session and the students gained immense knowledge about diverse fields.
For the next meeting, students were asked to research and prepare some stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata.
