A Hopeful Start to 2025

A new year brings along many things – new resolutions, renewed motivations, revived hopes, and the opportunity to leave the past behind and start afresh.

Here at DU Foundation, we wanted to begin the year with a meaningful and inspiring start, setting the tone for the months ahead.

There’s just something about the start of the year that lends us the vigour to move mountains and shape terrains, doesn’t it?

The first meeting of the year took place on the first Sunday of January, i.e., 5th January 2025 with bright eyes and positive minds. The session commenced with heartfelt New Year wishes extended to all the students, igniting a sense of purpose and enthusiasm for the journey ahead.

The meeting was gracefully conducted by Pravin Gotarne, an alumnus of the foundation whose inspiring journey of completing his engineering studies with the support of the Foundation served as a beacon of hope for aspiring students. Pravin shared valuable insights on engineering entrance exams and explored diverse pathways to successfully pursue an engineering career, leaving students feeling motivated and well-informed.

Adding another layer of wisdom, Aditya Chaudhari, a diligent third-year student, stressed the critical importance of academic performance in X and XII standard examinations. He highlighted how top companies keenly evaluate these marks during campus placements, urging students to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their studies.

An inspiring success story was shared by Mr Suresh Maagi, a determined student of the Foundation’s study centre, who had been unwavering in his pursuit of a career in the Police or Forest Department for seven long years. His relentless efforts finally bore fruit as he proudly secured a position in the Forest Department. With heartfelt sincerity, Suresh shared his arduous journey, underscoring the power of perseverance, resilience, and unwavering determination.

In an enlightening segment, Birari Sir captivated the audience with the awe-inspiring story of the legendary “Mountain Man,” a tale of sheer dedication and unwavering spirit. A beautifully crafted video on New Year resolutions and vision statements, curated by psychologist Parul Hande, was presented to the students, providing them with valuable guidance on shaping their aspirations for the future. Mr. Birari further delved into the significance of vision statements, offering practical insights on how to craft one that resonates with their ambitions and dreams.

Mr. Dewal, with his profound wisdom, emphasized the transformative power of reading. He passionately encouraged students to immerse themselves in books and tasked a few of them with presenting their insights in the next meeting, aiming to ignite a collective passion for literature among their peers.

As the meeting drew to a close, students left with a renewed sense of purpose and inspiration, eagerly looking forward to the next gathering scheduled for 2nd February 2025. The year has begun on a high note, and we are excited to see our students embark on their journeys with renewed vigor and enthusiasm.
