November paved the way for good vibes as we kickstarted December after DU Foundation’s 10th annual celebration.
The event was a hit with everyone, especially our guests of honor who were very impressed with the Foundation’s work as well as the progress and potential showcased by the students.
Our Chief Guest of Honor, Mrs. Arundhati Bhalerao, is a social worker with a Ph.D. in Dramatics. She was amazed by the Foundation’s efforts and the student’s stellar communication skills and confidence developed through the Foundation’s various programs. To encourage the willingness and the thirst for learning amongst the youth, she has shared her mobile van full of books with small villages.
Our second guest of honor was Mr. Sagar Reddy. Born and raised in an orphanage, social issues surrounding orphans are close to his heart. Orphans receive very little support in the world without a benefactor once they turn 18. Being intimately aware of what this feels like, Sagar has vowed to help out individuals through this phase.
A very successful event, it was indeed a day filled with joy, pride, and delight.
After a month of bustling activity and excitement for the function, students settled back into their everyday routines. A monthly meeting was held on December 4 and all students were appreciated for their active participation. The meeting ended with a viewing of the annual celebration video.
Another student, Harshala tare , has completed her engineering with an 8.92 percentile. The Foundation is immensely proud of her achievement and wishes her all the luck for her journey ahead.
